ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's rowing team returned to action on Saturday morning as the program hosted the Cayuga Duals on the inlet where they hosted both Hobart and Hamilton College.
The 2V kick things off this morning in flat conditions. The Bombers lineup consisted of coxswain

Griffin Hunt,
Brennen Mone,
Nolyn Boswell,
Henry Hersperger,
Brodie Hart,
Ethan Revis and
Liam Carnahan. Hobart started to show its depth by getting an early lead by 500 m. The Statesmen would win with a time of 6:00.4. The Bombers looked like the guys did what they could to try and hold the margin and kept pushing away from Hamilton, crossing the finish line with a time of 6:29.8.
The 1V was next, this boat for Ithaca had a bit more preparation than the others this week and look sharp in their warm-up. They were

Marshall Adams and did a good job rowing their own race and trying to find that aggressive yet deficient rhythm in the first half of the piece. In the breeze air conditions, Coach
Justin Stangel thought they handled it well making sure they could stay ahead of Hamilton and doing what they could to not let Hobart slip away.
The 3V wrapped up racing for the men this morning. This group has had a hard time finding cohesiveness with some injuries and illnesses, and that will be a project over the rest of the season to find or speed. The boat of

Overall, Coach Stangel thought overall the Bombers did well and handled themselves to the best of their ability in the season-opener.
"I now look forward to seeing how we can continue to find and refine our speed over the next few weeks over racing," Stangel said.
