ITHACA, N.Y. – A day after taking first on the 1-meter boards at the 2025 NCAA Division III Regionals, senior
Kailee Payne once again topped the leaderboard finishing in first place on the 3-meter boards with a finals score of 527.30. The men competed on the 1-meter boards on Saturday as it was hosted inside Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium.
Payne who defended her regional title from a year ago, had a degree of difficulty of 26.00 and was ultra impressive as her 11-dive total was over 56 points better than her teammate
Jenell Slesser who took home second. Slesser had a finals score of 471.25 and fellow senior
Angela Burke helped the Bombers go one-two-three with her third-place result and score of 470.15.
On the men's 1-meter,
Ethan Godfrey was the top Bomber finisher taking home fifth with his finals score of 457.95. Trent Makowiec took first overall scoring a 561.40 across his 11 dives.
The Ithaca College swimming and diving teams will head to the NCAA Championships from March 19-22 in Greensboro, N.C. Likely qualifying for diving but will be official on Monday once the NCAA releases the official allocations for both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards.
