Men’s Wrestling Sends Five to the Semifinals on Day 1 of the NCAA Regionals

GRANTHAM, Pa. – After the first day of competition on the mats at the 2025 NCAA Region II Championship, the Ithaca College men's wrestling team sit in third place on the leaderboard. Competing in the Keiper Recreation Center, the Bombers will send five into the semifinal round, which will take place on Sunday and need one more win for an NCAA qualification.

Tomah Gummow (125 lbs.), Isaias Torres (133 lbs.), Konrad Parker (165 lbs.), Jackson Gray (174 lbs.) and Xavier Pommells each punched their ticket to the semis and were 2-0 on Saturday. The Bombers will also have Wenchard Pierre-Louis (149 lbs.) and Brian Bienus (157 lbs.) looking to battle through the consolation rounds. As a team Ithaca racked up 71 team points and Wilkes University (78.5) is in second and Stevens lead the 19 schools competing in the regional.
