Women’s Track & Field Sets New 4x2 Record at Utica

UTICA, N.Y. –
The Ithaca College women's track & field team traveled to Utica University on Saturday to compete in the Blue & Orange Invitational in the Hutton Dome.

IC's 4x200-meter 'A' relay of Ava Butler, Aynisha McQuillar, Laura Suppa and Marykate Rudnicki set a facility record with their first place time of 1:43.46 and reestablished a new school standard by more than a second. The 'B' relay of Rachel Larson, Natalie MacArthur, Carolina Cedraschi and Tayla Hummel placed third in 1:48.74.

Lily Seyfert won the shot put with a heave of 12.67 meters and was fourth in the weight throw with a mark of 15.81 meters.

Talia Hutchinson tied the top mark of 3.47 meters in the pole vault and finished second overall, while Teagan Kiger tied for fourth at 3.32 meters. Erin Eastwood was a sixth place finisher with a mark of 3.17 meters and Bree Boyle also cleared 3.17 to come in eighth place.

Suppa finished third in the 60-meter dash with a PR time of 7.77 seconds, which moved her up to 33rd in the country and in a tie with teammate McQuillar.

MacArthur was third in the 400-meter dash invite in 1:00.14 and McQuillar was seventh with a time of 1:00.87. Julia Ryba secured sixth in the open 400 in 1:02.57.

Kyla Eisman was another third place finisher in the 5000-meter run as she crossed the line in 18:53.15.

Celia Ryan and Madeleine Wright both cleared 1.58 meters in the high jump to place third and fourth overall.

IC entered one team in the 4x400-meter relay and the quartet of Harper O'Neill, Ashley Kane, Morgan Huff and Nicole Tellechea were fourth in 4:32.84.

Cecelia LaBonte leaped 5.26 meters in the long jump to claim fourth place, while Alexis Brown also placed fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 10.99 meters.

Elli Cloutier placed seventh in the 60-meter hurdles as her prelim time of 9.97 seconds was her best performance.
