NEW ORLEANS – The Men's and Women's Scholar All-Academic Teams and All-Academic Athletes for the 2024 NCAA Division III Cross Country season were announced on Thursday, January 30 by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.
The men's team earned a GPA of 3.744, which was the ninth highest in Division III, while the women posted a team GPA of 3.725 to rank within the top 35.
Both teams were represented on the All-Academic Athletes lists by two student-athletes –
Logan Brasacchio and
Joy Petersen on the women's side and
James Hughes and
Drew Taylor for the men.
