RESULTS
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's track & field team traveled over to Cornell for the Marc Deneault Invitational on Saturday in what will be the final meet of the season before championship events.
Laura Suppa set a new PR in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.42 seconds to finish in the runner-up spot. Suppa was also the top qualifier in the 60-meter hurdles after a time of 8.71 seconds, but she did not run in the final.
Madeleine Wright cleared 1.60 meters in the high jump to take second overall, while
Celia Ryan was fourth at 1.55 meters and
Lydia Barber claimed sixth at 1.50 meters.
Lily Seyfert posted a mark of 12.76 meters in the shot put to finish in fourth, while her mark of 14.75 meters in the weight throw was seventh.
Julia Ryba took fourth in the 400-meter dash at 1:01.97, while
Lyla Powers was another four place performer the in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:23.52.
Emily Johnson also ran in the 800 and posted a time of 2:23.96 to finish in sixth.
IC's 4x400-meter relay of
Morgan Huff,
Lucy Marcus,
Sarah Cookson and
Nicole Tellechea secured sixth in 4:36.44.
Bree Boyle was a seventh place finisher in the pole vault at 3.45 meters, while
Erin Eastwood cleared the same height to place eighth.
Cecelia LaBonte measured out 4.90 meters in the long jump to come in seventh place overall.
The Bombers are home next weekend, February 28-March 1, for the Liberty League Indoor Championships.
