Volleyball Perfomer of the Week - Naomi Clauhs
Naomi Clauhs delivered two exceptional performances during Ithaca's NCAA Division III Tournament run. In the opening-round victory over Plymouth State, she recorded 13 kills while hitting an impressive .333. Clauhs then elevated her game in the Bombers' hard-fought five-set battle against No. 17 Wesleyan, posting a season-high 27 kills to lead all hitters on the floor. She also contributed two blocks.
Women's Swimming & Diving - Swimmer of the Week - Kathleen Papiernik
Kathleen Papiernik had an outstanding dual meet helping lead the Bombers to a dominant 217-80 win over the RIT Tigers. Papiernik added wins in the 200-yard butterfly (2:10.82) and 200-yard IM (2:11.96). Both times represented season-best efforts for the junior as she won the 200-yard IM by nearly three seconds over teammate Elizabeth Bodie and her win in the 200 fly was over five seconds faster than the second-place finisher.
Men's Swimming & Diving - Swimmer of the Week - Ryan CookeÂ
Ryan Cooke helped the Bombers defeat RIT in dual competition for the first-time in six years this past Saturday. He paced the men's team with wins in the 200-yard freestyle (1:41.86), 100-yard freestyle (46.37), and 500-yard freestyle (4:42.07). Cooke would help the Bombers cap the meet off swimming the final leg in the 400-yard relay winning squad that recorded a time of 3:05.59. Ithaca defeated the Tigers, 160-140.
Men's Swimming & Diving - Diver of the Week - Kian Long
Kian Long helped the Bombers defeat RIT for the first time in six years (160-140) as he delivered a pair of exceptional performances on the diving boards. He won the 3-meter event with 329.05 points and placed second on 1-meter with a finals score of 258.90.
