ITHACA, N.Y. – The Liberty League released its postseason awards for the 2025 field hockey season on November 12, and four members of the Ithaca College program found a spot on one of the three teams.
The Bombers finished the season with a 12-7 overall record and reached the semifinals of the Liberty League Championship. For most of the season, IC was nationally ranked by the NFHCA and was ranked as high as No. 18.
Eliza Ballaro and
Reese Abrahamson landed on the first team, while
Maeve Clark was a second team honoree and
Payton Yahner found a spot on honorable mention.
Ballaro, a midfielder and captain, started all 19 games for the Bombers this season and accounted for four goals and three assists for 11 points, which ranked fourth on the team. She tallied two game-winners on the season and played a crucial role for the Bombers on both sides of the field.
Abrahamson, a defender and captain, also started all 19 games in the back for IC. The Ithaca defense ranked among the best in Division III with a 0.72 goals against average and she was the anchor of the back line. Ithaca shoutout nine opponents this year.
In goal for the Bombers most of the year was Clark, who went 10-7 and posted a 0.93 GAA and 0.805 save percentage. Clark stopped 62 shots on the season and accounted for six of the program's nine shutouts.
Yahner, another midfield, started all 19 contests and led the team in assists with eight. Yahner was also tied for the lead in assists in the Liberty League. She also scored three goals to finish the season with 14 points, which was tied for second on the team.
