SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - The Bombers returned to Saratoga Springs in as many weeks, this time to compete in the Liberty League Championships and it was a historical day for the Ithaca College men's rowing program as both the 1V and 2V boats were crowned conference champions. This was the first-time ever that the men's program claimed the Liberty League Championship.
The Liberty League team championship title in men's rowing is based on a first-place showing in the Varsity Eight race. This turned out to be the fifth race of the day and was a five-boat race that the Bombers won by more than five seconds over runner-up St. Lawrence, which finished in 6:13.129. RIT was third at 6:17.567 and the Tigers were followed by Union (6:23.068) and Skidmore (6:32.713). Ithaca recorded a time of 6:08.008 and the 1V lineup consisted of

Marshall Adams.
Ithaca would go on to make it 2-for-2 as they would also claim top honors in the Second Varsity Eight race as the Bombers crossed the finish line in 6:22.001, winning just under five seconds (4.4). RIT was the runner-up, recording a time of 6:26.452 for second. Union (6:44.481) finished third while Skidmore (6:57.491) and St. Lawrence (7:00.300) were fourth and fifth respectively. The final race that IC would compete in was the men's varsity four where the Bombers had

Adam Zwolinski,
James Pittard and
Cameron Strong team up for a second-place result in what turned out to a close race. The University of Rochester narrowly edged out the Bombers boat by .61 finishing in 7:11.005 compared to IC's time of 7:11.621.
The Bombers earned automatic qualification into the Division III IRA Championships that will take place May 31-June 2 with the IC 1V8 slated to compete.
