ITHACA, N.Y. – Two student-athletes from the Ithaca College women's tennis program were recently named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for their strong efforts both on the courts and in the classroom this year.

The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. In order to be eligible, a student-athlete must have a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and compete in a specified number of team matches over the course of the calendar year.

Ithaca's two honorees this year included Taylor Crain and Sabrina Cheung as both are first-time selections for CSC Academic All-District accolades.

Crain was once again in the top singles spot this season where she collected a team-high 11 wins this season going 11-6 overall. The junior also produced a 9-8 record in the top doubles spot during the 2023-24 season. Sophomore Sabrina Cheung also had an excellent season as she collected eight wins in singles play and held a 7-9 record in doubles including a 1-0 mark in the No. 1 slot.

The Bombers earned three wins in Liberty League regular season play and reached the quarterfinal round of the conference tournament falling to RPI.
