Men’s Track & Field Competes at Red Dragon Open

CORTLAND, N.Y. –
The Ithaca College men's track & field team made the short trip to Cortland on Sunday to compete in the Red Dragon Open.

Dom Mikula easily won the pole vault with a mark of 4.92 meters, while was nearly .8 meters higher than the runner-up. Three other Bombers, Noah McKibben, Cayden Kuhns and Matt Lokshin finished fourth-to-sixth. McKibben and Kuhns tied for fourth at 3.60 meters and Lokshin was sixth at 3.40 meters.

Ben Buffone took runner-up honors in the 1500-meter run in 4:13.06 and was sixth in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:59.91.

IC claimed three of the top five positions in the 400-meter hurdles as Joseph Napolitano was third overall in 57.15 seconds, Lokshin finished fourth at 58.85 and Noah McKibben was fifth in 59.10.

Max Boreland finished fourth in the 200-meter dash in 22.96 seconds and was fifth in the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.06 seconds.

Lokshin finished the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 16.35 seconds to come in fourth, while Jake Dembrow was eighth in 17.96 seconds.

IC's two 4x100-meter relay teams finished within the top eight as the 'A' squad of M. Boreland, CJ Jones, Alex Boreland and Dembrow were fifth in 43.49 seconds. The 'B' team of Brett Jeremiah, Charlie Billard, Joshua Wan and Andrew Olando were eighth in a time of 46.30 seconds.

The 4x400-meter relay of Aidan Loughlin, Lokshin, McKibben and Liam Connelly finished in seventh with a time of 3:42.63.

McKibben and Lokshin went 5-6 in the high jump at 1.70 meters, while Andrew Geschickter was eighth at 1.55 meters. Loughlin secured fifth in the 1500 with a time of 4:19.64, while Chris Licata took eighth in 4:25.10. Jones placed seventh in the 200 in a time of 23.05 seconds.

IC will compete as Susquehanna and Cortland next weekend.
