MANHEIM, Pa. – On Wednesday, April 10 the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) announced its 2024 NCAA Division III Scholar All-American awards and eight Ithaca College wrestlers earned individual Scholar All-American honor.
In order to receive the NWCA Scholar All-American honors, a wrestler must have a GPA of 3.2 or greater for the previous academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or greater. If a freshman, their GPA from the fall of 2023 must be above 3.2. Wrestlers must also meet at least one of the following wrestling criteria: NCAA Qualifier with a winning record; finish in the top six at the NCAA regional while competing in at least half of the team's scheduled competitions and compiling a winning record; or win at least 67% of their matches while competing in at least 50% of their team's scheduled competitions.
The eight IC student-athletes that earned Scholar All-American honors this season were

Jackson Gray,
Jake Jones,
Braden Edwards,
Brian Bienus,
Ryan Galka,
Konrad Parker and
Jeremy Mazzella.
Under head coach
Marty Nichols, the wrestling program had the 22
nd best GPA in Division III with a 3.532 GPA. In the team competition, Johns Hopkins led the field with a 3.866 GPA, followed closely by Heidelberg University with 3.825 and Ohio Northern University with a 3.786.
A total of 418 wrestlers from 100 Division III institutions earned NWCA Scholar All-American honors for the 2023-24 season. The Bombers finished the season with a 14-5 overall record and sent
