VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships got underway on Friday, March 8 and the Ithaca College men's team was represented by senior Brendan Sheehan.

Sheehan, who was an All-American at the 2023 Outdoor Championships, was seeded fifth in the pole vault with a top mark of 5.00 meters. He would go on to tie for 16th on Friday with a clearance of 4.73 meters (15' 6.25") and will be named a Second Team All-American by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Sheehan entered the competition at 4.58 meters and cleared the bar on his first attempt. He then moved past 4.73 meters on his second try, but his championship came to an end after two misses at 4.88 meters and a final miss at 4.98 meters.

Ithaca will begin its outdoor season on March 23 at Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Va.
