ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's swimming & diving team concluded the Bomber Invitational on Sunday inside Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium with a first place finish among nine teams with 1772 points.
Kailee Payne once again dominated on the boards as she won the 1-meter event by more than 50 points with a mark of 523.40.
IC won the 200 medley relay as
Samantha Bender,
Sydney Koehler,
Kathleen Papiernik and
Spencer Carroll posted a time of 1:46.26. The quartet of Fry, Bender,
Angela Merch and
Elke Beaumont took the top spot in the 400 free relay in 3:32.27.
Naomi Fry placed first in the 500 free in a time of 5:11.74, while Bender also took first in the 200 backstroke at 2:07.01.
Elizabeth Bodie posted a time of 57.36 seconds in the 100 butterfly to secure first place and Koehler bested the field in the 200 breaststroke in 2:21.53.
Next up, Ithaca College will head south for their winter training trip in Florida. The program will then be off before returning to action on Saturday, January 11 where they will square off against Hamilton College and RIT in Rochester, N.Y. in a pair of duals.
