Men’s Cross Country Places Sixth at Liberty League Championship

CANTON, N.Y. –
The Ithaca College men's cross country team competed in the Liberty League Championship on Saturday at St. Lawrence University and placed sixth out of nine schools with 132 points.

RPI won the team championship with 21 points to secure its eighth consecutive Liberty League crown, while St. Lawrence was the runner-up with 73 points. Vassar took third at 92 points, RIT was fifth with 108 points and Union finished ahead of IC with 125 points.

IC earned one all-league recognition, which honors the top 21 placements in the race. First-to-seventh are named first-team, eighth-to-14th are second-team and 15th-to-21st are honorable mention.

Ben Buffone placed 21st overall and 16th in scoring with a time of 25:53.7 on the 8K course, while Drew Taylor was just behind in 22nd (17th) in 25:54.4.

Toag Wolf claimed 32nd (25th) in 26:25.3 and James Hughes finished in 43rd (34th) with a time of 26:49.1. Patrick Bierach was the final scoring runner for IC with a 51st (40th) place finish in 27:07.3.
