ITHACA, N.Y. – Following an 11th place finish at the NCAA Division III Niagara Regional, Ithaca College junior women's cross country student-athlete
Joy Petersen, was selected to compete at the NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championship in Terre Haute, Ind. on November 23.
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is hosting the championships at LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center. The women's race will begin at 11 a.m. Eastern, followed by the men's race at noon Eastern.

Petersen was one of seventy individuals, the first seven student-athletes from each region who are not a part of a qualifying team, were selected to participate in each championship.
The Ithaca women's cross country team has a decorated history at the national championship as the Bombers have finished in the top 20 in 17 difference championships and have produced 26 All-Americans and one national champion.
