SCRANTON, Pa. – The Ithaca College men's swimming & diving program got its 2024-25 underway on Saturday afternoon in a road dual at the University of Scranton. The Bombers were on the road and similar to the women's program, they won each relay race along with several outstanding individual efforts in a 185-109 victory.
In diving action, it was a neck and neck battle between IC's
Ethan Godfrey and
Samuel Smith on the 1-meter boards. Godrey ended up besting his teammate with a score of 250.25 with Smith finishing second and totaling a 242.40. Godrey also won the 3-meter competition with a finals score of 265.90.
The Bombers saw
Alec Kutsner win both the 100-yard backstroke (53.43) and the 100-yard freestyle (48.81).
Matthew Mitros showed off his speed winning the 50-yard freestyle with a recorded time of 22.41.
