ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's track & field team competed in the Nazareth Conference Challenge Cup on Saturday and finished in seventh overall out of nine schools with 27 points.
Brendan Sheehan won the pole vault with a clearance of 4.76 meters (15' 7.25") to win by nearly six inches.
James Hughes took fifth in the 5000-meter run invite in 15:10.85.
Ben Buffone finished fifth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:01.19, while
Patrick Bierach was a seventh place runner in the mile at 4:28.90.
The Bombers finished sixth and eighth in the 4x200-meter relay as the 'A' team of
Max Boreland, Alex Boreland,
CJ Jones and
George Nilson posted a time of 1:36.35. The 'B' squad of
Brett Jeremiah,
Kevin McNamara,
Andrew Olando and
Joshua Wan were eighth at 1:41.91.
IC's 4x400-meter relay of
Carter Rothwell, Buffone, Bierach and
Joseph Napolitano placed eighth with a time of 3:36.08.
Matthew Weil took eighth in the pole vault at 4.01 meters (13' 1.75").
