Men's Track & Field Hosts First Home Meet of the Season

ITHACA, N.Y. –
The Ithaca College men's track & field team hosted its first home meet of the 2024 season as the Bombers welcomed three other schools, Cortland, Oneonta and TCNJ, to Glazer Arena for a quad meet.

IC's 4x400-meter relay of Carter Rothwell, George Nilson, Ben Buffone and Joseph Napolitano came in fourth with a time of 3:35.06.

Tyrell Penalba claimed fourth in the high jump with a mark 1.78 meters (5' 10"). Noah McKibben placed sixth at 1.73 meters (5' 8") and Matt Lokshin was eighth with a clearance of 1.58 meters (5' 2.25").

Matthew Weil secured fourth in the pole vault at 4.00 meters (13' 1.5"), Cayden Kuhns was sixth at 3.70 meters (12' 1.5") and McKibben came in eighth at 3.55 meters (11' 7.75").

Andrew Olando was a fourth place finisher in the triple jump at 11.98 meters (39' 3.75") and Liam Connelly was sixth at 11.46 meters (37' 7.25").

James Hughes claimed fifth in the mile with a time of 4:31.59, while Buffone and Patrick Bierach followed in sixth and seventh in times of 4:31.92 and 4:32.23.

Aidan Loughlin placed fifth in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:04.04 and Rothwell was seventh in 2:04.37.

The 'B' team of the 4x400 took eight in 3:48.85. That relay consisted of Kevin McNamara, Lokshin, McKibben and Connelly.

Brendan Sheehan placed eighth in the shot put with a mark of 12.42 meters (40' 9").
