RESULTS
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Ithaca College golf team traveled to Western Massachusetts this weekend to compete in the Williams Invitational, hosted by Williams College at Taconic Golf Course. Ithaca finished 10th out of 22 teams with a two-round score of 667 (+99) after carding 327 (+43) and 340 (+56).
Williams 'A' team won the tournament with +29, while Pomona-Pitzer finished second at +45. Liberty League foe and 2019 national champion New York University finished seven strokes ahead of the Bombers in ninth.
Cristea Park was IC's top finisher in a tie for 35th as she finished with 163 (+21) after rounds of 79 (+8) and 84 (+13). Park birdied one hole and carded nine pars during her Saturday round to finish the day in 24th overall but fell back on the leaderboard round on Sunday.
Helena Winterberg tied for 46th with 165 (+23) with a pair of consistent rounds of 83 and 82. Winterberg sunk a pair of birdies on Saturday and parred 10 holes on Sunday.
Rheanna DeCrow finished in a tie for 50th with 166 (+24) as she shot 80 on Saturday and 86 on Sunday. DeCrow started her weekend off strong with a 38 on the front nine, which included a birdie, and proceeded to shoot seven pars from that point on during Saturday's round.
Abby Bladen and
Annika Michel tied for 81st with 176 (+34). Bladen shot 85 on Saturday and followed up with 91 on Sunday, while Michel shot 88 during both rounds. Bladen fired four birdies over the opening nine holes on Saturday, while Michel birdied the first hole on Sunday.
Kerry Farrell was an individual in the tournament and finished in a tie for 120th with 215 (+73).
The Bombers conclude the fall season next weekend at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn.
