CANTON, N.Y. – The Ithaca College golf team is off to a great start to the 2023-24 season as the Bombers lead the opening day of the St. Lawrence Invitational by 22 strokes after firing 316 (+28) on Saturday at the Oliver Appleton Golf Course.
Cortland sits in second with 338 (+50), St. John Fisher is in third at 359 (+71), St. Lawrence is fourth with 371 (+83), Union is currently fifth at 384 (+96) and Canton is sixth at 468 (+180). There are currently 37 golfers in the competition.
Rheanna DeCrow leads the field after an opening round 76 (+4). DeCrow was two-over on the front nine with six pars and two bogeys and concluded her round with a birdie on the par-5 18th.
Abby Bladen is tied for second after first collegiate round, which was also a career low score of 78 (+6). Bladen started her round with six straight pars and went out with 38. She finished her day with six more pars on the back nine.
Cristea Park shot 79 (+7) to finish the round in fourth overall. Park also carded six pars on the front, along with six more on the back.
Helena Winterberg sits in a tie for seventh at 83 (+11) after shooting 41 on the front and 42 on the back, while
Annika Michel is tied for 10th after an 86 (+14).
Kerry Farrell also competed today and shot 94 (+22) with a birdie on the par-3 12th.
The second round concludes tomorrow with a tee time of 9 a.m.
