RESULTS
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College golf team completed the Ithaca Invitational on Sunday at RaNic Golf Club with its best round of the season, 311 (+23), to win the six-team tournament by 16 strokes. Ithaca shot 627 (+51) over the weekend after an opening round 316 on Saturday.
The 311 on Sunday was just four shots off the school record mark of 307, set back in 2021. IC's two-round total of 627 was one stroke shy of the program record set last year at the Ithaca Invitational.
Suffolk placed second with 642 (+66), while Westminster came in third at 665 (+89) and Cortland came in fourth with 676 (+100). St. John Fisher (705) and St. Lawrence (731) rounded out the invitational. Allegheny also competed over the weekend with three individuals.
Rheanna DeCrow was the top medalist with 150 (+6) as she shot an even par 72 on Sunday for a career-low round. DeCrow went one under on the front nine with three birdies and two bogeys and then went one-over on the back nine with two more birdies and three bogeys. She birdied back-to-back holes (4th and 5th) on the fourth and then birdied the 8th. On the back, she birdied the 12th and 16th holes.
Cristea Park finished one shot off the lead with 151 (+7) after a second round 76 (+4). Park carded three birdies on the day as she started her round going one-under on the par 4, 1st hole and then birdied the par 3, 7th. She closed out her weekend with a birdie on the par 4, 17th.
Helena Winterberg tied for eighth overall with 161 (+17) as she shot 80 and 81. Winterberg fired 11 pars on Sunday.
Abby Bladen finished in a three-way tie for 11th with 165 (+21). Bladen shaved one stroke off her Saturday round to finish with an 82 (+10) on Sunday as she carded 10 pars.
Annika Michel took 18th with 173 (+29) and improved by three strokes on Sunday with an 85 (+13). After going out with a 44, Michel holed two birdies (11th and 16th) on the back nine to come in with 41.
Kerry Farrell tied for 29th overall with 182 (+38) after a second round 88 (+16). Farrell was +11 after nine holes, but began the back with a birdie on the par 4, 10th and finished the back nine with 41.
Ithaca heads to Williams College next weekend, September 23-24.
