ITHACA, N.Y. – It was announced on Thursday, August 10 that eleven student-athletes selected by the CRCA Awards Committee as a final nominee to receive the prestigious "Athlete of the Year" Award for the 2023 Rowing Season and representing Ithaca College was graduate student Allison Arndt. In addition, there were 10 Bombers who were also recognized as CRCA Scholar Athletes, as announced by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association.

In its second year, the Athlete of the Year award provides a unique opportunity for the CRCA to acknowledge and recognize the individual efforts, impactful actions, and remarkable outcomes achieved over the academic year—a span during which these student-athletes have undeniably left a positive impact on their respective teams.

Allison Arndt is one of three Division III student-athletes announced as a finalist, along with Wellesley College graduate student Anneka Hallstrom and recent Colby College graduate Toriana Richards.

Arndt rowed in the IC Varsity Eight boat during the 2022-23 season where she helped guide the Ithaca  boat to its fifth consecutive Liberty League title, they were crowned champions at the New York State Championship and also posted a bronze finish at the 2023 NCAA Championships in the Grand Final.
