ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's swimming & diving team continued to excel winning the final event, the 400-yard freestyle relay on Sunday during the final day of the 12
th Annual Bomber Invitational inside Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium. The Bombers racked up a total 1,592 team points as Middlebury College who was second with 1,178 points and in third was Hamilton College who totaled 1,108.
The Bombers won both the first event on Sunday and the final event the 400-yard freestyle relay.

Matthew Mitros won their heat over Hamilton's "A" relay squad who combined for a time of 3:07.76, compared to IC's 3:05.07. In the grueling 1,650 yard freestyle
Matthew Stevens won the event with his finals time of 16:19.68 as coming home in third-place with a recorded time of 16:43.27 was
James Kissel.
The 100-yard IM saw
Michael Paulos come home with 28 team points with a second-place finish and time of 52.48 as it was extremely close with Hamilton's Jack Jee winning with a time of 52.47. The 100-yard freestyle had Ithaca's
James Collishaw beat Hamilton's Nathanial Taft by 50 seconds with a time of 45.07, winning yet another individual event. In fourth-place for the Bombers was
Matthew Mitros recording a time of 46.77.
Evan Wardrop (1:55.43) was second and
Marshall Adams was in sixth-place with a recorded time of 1:58.17, bettering his seeded time. In the final individual event of the invite the 200-yard breaststroke,
Matthew Janssen was the top Ithaca finisher touching the final wall with a time of 2:06.63.
The Bombers will head south for their winter trip where select swimmers will compete in the CSCAA Open Water National Championships, which is hosted by FIU in Miami, Fla. on December 17. The program will then be off for the holiday break before returning to action in a dual meet at Hamilton College on January 13.
