INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Ithaca College women's swimming & diving program had five divers competing on Tuesday on the 1-meter boards.
The divers initially competed in the afternoon preliminary round where
Ava Lowell,
Rachel Lange,
Abby Marraccino,
Karalyn Pawcio and
Eliana Wallock looked to qualify for the finals.
Ava Lowell was able to achieve All-American status as she qualified for the evenings championship final and put together a third-place finish and finals score of 443.95. It was over 42 points more than what she put together through the prelims. Lowell achieved her fifth overall All-American honor and will look to close out her career with another later this weekend on the 3-meter boards.
The top eight finishers after prelims advanced to the finals, while places 9-16 earned a spot in the consolation finals.
Both
Rachel Lange (369.30) and
Karalyn Pawcio (369.15) just missed out on the consolation finals with 17th and 18th finishes, respectively.
Eliana Wallock scored a 21st place finish with a score of 362.00 and
Abby Marraccino rounded out the Ithaca divers with a 25th place finish as she totaled 343.25.
Lowell along with
Rachel Lange,
Abby Marraccino,
Karalyn Pawcio and
Eliana Wallock will return to action on Saturday competing on the 3-meter diving boards.
