RESULTS
ITHACA, N.Y. -The Ithaca College women's swimming and diving team remain in first place following the third day of the Liberty League Swimming & Diving Championships. Through three days, the Bombers have racked up 1,088 team points, which is well ahead of second-place RIT who has totaled 951 points.
The Bombers earned team points in the 200-yard butterfly thanks to first year
Kiersten Gravuer qualifying for the evenings first final. Gravuer put together an eighth-place finish with a time of 2:18.89. Colleen Whittaker from RPI won the 200 fly with a time of 2:05.59.
Katie Champagne earned a spot in evening's 100-yard backstroke final and raced to a fifth-place finish. The junior recorded a time of 58.03 with Vassar College's Jesse Ecklund turning in an NCAA B-cut time to win the event in 56.28.
The top finisher in the 100-yard breaststroke was RIT's Anna Peshenko who touched the final wall in 1:04.96. The Bombers had
Abigail Ignagni as its top finisher at ninth with a recorded time of 1:08.13.
Relay races once again concluded the evening program with swimmers competing in the 800-yard freestyle with RPI's foursome besting Ithaca by over five seconds.

Erin Kiley and
Morgan Hoffman-Smith teamed for the second-place effort and finals time of 7:45.02.
The Liberty League Championships finish up tomorrow with the 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard backstroke, 200-yard breaststroke, 400-yard freestyle relay, 1,650-yard freestyle and women's 3-meter diving. Swimming preliminaries begin at 10 a.m., followed by diving preliminaries at 1 p.m. and finals for both at 6 p.m.
