ITHACA, N.Y. – In their final tune-up before the 2022 Liberty League Championships, the Ithaca College women's swimming & diving program hosted Union College on Saturday and the Bombers were victorious in the dual winning 274-44. At the conclusion of the meet, Ithaca College celebrated its five seniors: Marley Baum, Ava Lowell, Morgan Hoffman-Smith, Emilee Murray and Olivia Schlackman.
 
It was a strong competitive day for Emily VanderSleen putting together first-place finishes in three separate individual events as well as took part in the 400-yard medley relay win for the Bombers. VanderSleen (24.76) won the 50-yard freestyle bested a teammate in the 100-yard event (56.49) and then won the 100-yard butterfly with a recorded time of 1:01.66. Abigail Ignagni and Morgan Hoffman-Smith each won two individual events to help give IC the considerable team point advantage.
 
In diving action, Ava Lowell (290.93) took the 1-meter by besting Karalyn Pawcio (277.04), but they traded placed with Pawcio winning the 3-meter event with a finals score of 290.48.
 
Divers will return to action next Saturday hosting the Genaca Diving Invitational at 12:00 p.m. and the entire program will take part in the three-day Liberty League Championships beginning on Wednesday, February 16.
