NEW ORLEANS, La.Â
– The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced their NCAA Division III Scholar Athletes of the Year and All-Academic Individuals on Thursday for the 2021 cross country season on January 27.

For a team to achieve this accolade, it must have completed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional Meet. The team must also have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.10 or higher on a 4.0 grading scale. The Ithaca College Men's Cross Country program posted a cumulative 3.68 GPA.
Altogether, there were 453 student-athletes who earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors with men, accounting for 55 percent of that total (248). In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.

Patrick Bierach,
Danny Jagoe and
Benjamin Tiber represented the Ithaca men's cross country team achieved a 3.30 GPA or higher.

Bierach earned 2021 Liberty League All-Academic and Liberty League Honorable Mention recognition this fall. He also placed 19
th at the 2021 NCAA Niagara Regional on November 13.
Danny Jagoe and
Benjamin Tiber earned bids to the NCAA Division III Championships this past November after stellar performances at the Niagara Regional two weekends prior. Tiber finished 205th overall out of 289 finishers on the 8K course with a time of 25:33.3, while Jagoe followed close behind in 208th in 25:36.5.
At the NCAA Regional Championship at the Warplane Museum on November 13, IC placed fourth overall out of 22 teams with 132 points.
