Dear Bombers,
We hope this message finds you well and enjoying a productive, fun and safe summer.
Our return to campus in August is just around the corner. We are looking forward to returning for safe intercollegiate athletics participation this fall and throughout the year. We are writing to re-enforce the requirement that each individual student who wants to return to Ithaca College for fall semester classes be fully vaccinated in time to allow for completion of the 14 day period. Early returns for fall sports need to count back from their arrival date (August 10 for Football, August 17 for Field Hockey, Soccer, Volleyball, August 16 for Cross Country, August 18 for Tennis and Golf), to meet the requirement of full vaccination. Again, Ithaca College is requiring Covid-19 vaccinations for all students. As student-athletes we have an exceptional responsibility to the safety of our Bomber family to eliminate the risk for transmission of the virus. Our activities in training and competition require us to be in close contact with one another in locker rooms, weight rooms, athletics training rooms, team huddles, buses, hotel rooms and dining halls not to mention the actual practicing and training for our sports. It is required that you obtain the Covid-19 vaccination.
For those of you who are fully vaccinated with proof of your Covid-19 vaccination uploaded to your MYICHEALTH web portal – Thank you!
All questions related to vaccinations should be directed to:

Message from Ithaca College:
To participate in academic coursework and extracurricular opportunities for the 2021-22 academic year, Ithaca College REQUIRES that all enrolled students MUST receive the COVID-19 vaccination series and be fully immunized. This vaccine REQUIREMENT must be fulfilled PRIOR to a student's arrival in Ithaca for move-in. There will not be any accommodations made for students who arrive on campus without vaccine documentation submitted to the Hammond Health Center or, in specific limited cases, a college-approved vaccine exemption on file. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COMPLETE MOVE-IN AND/OR ACCESS CAMPUS FOR FALL CLASSES WITHOUT THIS DOCUMENTATION SUBMITTED.
**Important Reminder**
You will not be considered fully immunized until 14-days after having received your FINAL DOSE. YOU MUST RECEIVE BOTH A 'FIRST' AND A 'SECOND' DOSE OF PFIZER OR MODERNA VACCINE OR THE ONE DOSE JOHNSON & JOHNSON VACCINE AND 14 DAYS MUST HAVE PASSED SINCE YOUR FINAL VACCINATION IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE TO MOVE-IN AND/OR ACCESS CAMPUS.
To submit your proof of vaccination, you will submit your Covid-19 Vaccination card information int the web portal for all of your ICHealth related information:
Step 1: Go to the myICHealth web portal (either from the apps.ithaca.edu web page - there is a tile called "MYICHEALTH" or by accessing the Hammond Health Center website)
Step 2: Log in using Netpass Username and Password and then confirm Date of Birth.
Step 3: Choose Medical Clearances tab from the menu on the left
Step 4: Choose COVID vaccine and click Update button and then Upload button to upload vaccine card
Step 5: Enter date(s) vaccine was given and select the name of vaccine from the dropdown menu
Hammond Health Center staff will verify this information and mark it as verified. Due to the number of vaccine cards coming in, this verification may take a few days. Students will be able to confirm that they are compliant with COVID-19 vaccine and all other medical compliance for the fall semester by accessing the web portal.
Limited exemptions will be permitted for religious or medical reasons. The requests for exemptions will be thoroughly scrutinized by our Medical Director and a committee reviewing these requests.
If you are applying for a medical exemption to the COVID-19 vaccination, please make sure that you submit documentation from your healthcare provider that clearly indicates why you must not be vaccinated due to a medical condition. If this is not submitted with your exemption, your exemption will not be granted and you MUST be vaccinated in order to return to campus this fall.
Proof of vaccination will be part of your pre-participation screening by our Sports Medicine team.
Thank you for your commitment to excellence and to the safety and health of the IC Campus Community and the Bomber Family.
Sincerely,
Dr. Andy Getzin
