RESULTS
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's track & field team returned to indoor action on Saturday at Cornell's Greg Page Relays after nearly two years removed from a true indoor season. IC did compete in one indoor meet in 2020-21, but that led into the outdoor campaign. Prior to that meet, the Bombers last competition was on March 6-7, 2020.
There was no scoring in the multi-divisional meet as nine different colleges or universities competed in the Greg Page Relays, along with numerous unattached entries.
Julia Tomanovich won the 5,000-meter run in a time of 19:21.11, while
Meredith Garrity was the runner-up in 19:44.76.
Isabel Johnston also ran in the 5K and placed fourth in 20:21.00.
IC's 4x800-meter relay of
Paloma De Monte,
Lauren Lobdell,
Emily Johnson and
Courtney Dalke claimed second in 10:09.95.
Meghan Matheny was the runner-up in the pole vault at 3.65 meters (11 feet, 11.75 inches), while
Ariyahna Bernard was a third place finisher in the weight throw with a mark of 15.37 meters (50' 5.25").
Martha Kemp-Neilson took fourth in the pole vault at 3.20 meters (10' 6") and
Gwen Gisler finished fifth in 3.05 meters (10').
Jillian Shea posted a time of 11:00.87 in the 3,000-meter run to claim third place.
Logan Bruce was a fifth place finisher in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.94 seconds.
Emily McGrath came in seventh overall in the 500-meter run as she finished in 1:24.45.
The Bombers entered four different teams in the 4x400-meter relay. The 'A' team of De Monte, Lobdell,
Katelyn Hutchison and
Katharine Downey was fifth in 4:15.58. Bruce,
Luca Pecora,
Natalie MacArthur and
Charly Slusser followed in sixth as the 'B' entry in 4:34.60.
Carli McConnell,
Carly Gross,
Victoria Maceira and
Madison Martinez finished seventh in 4:40.66. Dalke,
Lilly Johnson,
Iris Pellani and
Kaitlyn St. Hilaire were eighth in a time of 4:47.42.
Moriah Byrd placed fifth in the shot put with a mark of 11.49 meters (37' 8.5"), while Bernard was sixth at 11.34 meters (37' 2.5"). Bruce also competed in the high jump and finished seventh in 1.60 meters (5' 3").
Ithaca is off for the 2021 calendar year and will return to action for an alumni celebration meet on January 8 inside the Athletics and Events Center.
