ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's swimming and diving team hosted its final dual meet of the year on Saturday afternoon against Liberty League foe Union College. The Bombers defeated the visiting Dutchwomen 201.00-63.00.

The Bombers started the day strong, taking the top two spots in the 200 medley relay.

The team of
Katie Krom,
Ashley Warren,
Jesse Ford and
Emily VanderSleen was victorious, taking first place in 1:54.46. IC's quad of
Emma Whitney,
Angelina Domena,
Emilee Murray and
Margaret Fox finished in second with a time of 1:57.32.

Ithaca followed that up with the top three spots in the 1,000 freestyle, led by junior
Morgan Hoffman-Smith who took first with a time of 10:42.23. First-year
Emily Shorb followed in second after swimming to a time of 11:13.23 and
Erin Kiley finished third in 11:20.05.
Maura Beuttel rounded out the top five with a fifth-place, 11:45.31, finish.

Senior
Paige Landers was victorious in the 200 freestyle, taking first in 2:03.06. First-year
Josephine Holman was not far behind in second with a time of 2:04.54. First-year
Alison Branch raced to a time of 2:05.15 for third place and
Tori Eastham rounded out the top five with a time of 2:07.60.

Hoffman-Smith was successful again the 100 backstroke, winning the field in 1:01.69. First-year
Anna Rubino took third with a time of 1:05.53 while
Emma Whitney finished fourth in 1:05.82. Fox rounded out IC swimmers with a fifth-place finish in 1:06.47.

In the 100 breaststroke, Warren won the field in 1:11.95 to lead the Bombers. Murray finished third with a time of 1:14.65 while Domena claimed fourth in 1:15.08.
Josie Michaels rounded out the top five, swimming to a time of 1:15.72.

Ithaca's top finisher in the 200 butterfly was sophomore
Olivia Schlackman, who finished second in 2:20.28. Union's Kerry Kelly claimed the top spot with a time of 2:12.60.

Jesse Ford was close behind in third place after swimming to a time of 2:21.09 while
Alex Estanislau took fourth in 2:22.43.
Cody Conte rounded out IC swimmers with a fifth-place finish in 2:31.83.

VanderSleen, a first-year, won the 50 freestyle for the Bombers swimming the course in 25.29. Fox was right behind her with a second-place timeof 25.91 while Kiley took third in 26.93.

Ford claimed the top spot in the 100 freestyle, winning the field in 56.55 to pick up nine points for the Bombers. Fox took second in 56.79 while Domena finished third with a time of 57.62.
Olivia Rubino claimed fourth with a time of 57.74.
It was the Bombers on top again in the 200 backstroke, as Krom won the field in 2:12.02, edging Union's Kelly who took second in 2:14.86. Shorb took third with a time of 2:22.05 while
Anna Rubino notched fourth place in 2:22.41.

Union's Emily Quinn won the 200 breaststroke in 2:33.55. Warren was the top finisher for IC, claiming second in 2:36.48 while
Kaitlyn Scott took third in 2:44.21. Michaels also finished among the top five, taking fourth in 2:45.48.

The Bombers took the top three spots in the 500 freestyle, led by Holman who won the field in 5:29.96. Schlackman took second place with a time of 5:31.40 while Landers rounded out the top three after swimming to a time of 5:33.15.

VanderSleen was successful again, winning her second race of the day in the 100 fly with a time of 1:02.08. Murray took second in 1:02.70 while Ford finished third with a time of 1:04.05.

Union's Kelly won the 200 IM, racing to a time of 2:16.94. Krom was IC's top finished, taking second in 2:18.52 while Murray finished third with a time of 2:23.77. Estanislau claimed fourth with a time of 2:24.06 while Scott took fifth in 2:27.39.

Ithaca wrapped up the day in the pool with the top four finishes in the 400 freestyle relay.

The team of Landers, Hoffman-Smith, Krom and VanderSleen led the charge with a first-place finish in 3:44.85. The quad of Holman,
Olivia Rubino,
Anna Rubino and Kiley finished in second place with a time of 3:52.99.

Domena, Eastham, Beuttel and Warren finished in third place with a time of 3:57.26 while the team of Branch, Conte, Schlackman and Shorb swam to a time of 4:02.38 for fourth.

Diving

In 1-meter action, junior
Ava Lowell won the field with a top score of 265.60 points, followed closely behind by Union's Amanda Lopez who took second with a score of 264.60.

First-year
Eliana Wallock claimed third with 256.85 points and fellow first-year
Karalyn Pawcio took fourth with a score of 252.50. First-year
Rachel Lange rounded out the IC divers in the top five, taking fifth with 235.30 points.

On the 3-meter board, Lowell and Wallock tied for first place with scores of 445.40. Pawcio finished in third with 433.40 points while Lange too fourth with a score of 415.25.

Ithaca's divers are back in action next Saturday at the Ithaca Invitational. That will be the final meet before the 2020 Liberty League Championships begin on Wednesday, February 19.
