ALFRED, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's swimming and diving team defeated Alfred handily on Saturday afternoon by a score of 233-62. The Bombers are now a perfect 11-0 in dual meets this season.

IC started the day with a win in the 200 medley relay. The team of
Katie Krom,
Kaitlyn Scott,
Jesse Ford and
Morgan Hoffman-Smith swam to a time of 1:55.80 to claim victory. The Bombers' team of
Julia Young,
Ashley Warren, Emily Vandersleen and
Paige Landers was not far behind in second place with a time of 1:56.87.

The Bombers went on to claim the top three spots in the 1,000 freestyle, led by first-year
Josephine Holman who took first in 11:25.08.
Alison Branch finished second in 11:38.09 while
Maura Beuttel swam to a time of 11:49.71 for third place.

Ford, a sophomore, led the charge for IC in the 200 freestyle, winning the field in 2:04.70.
Anna Rubino claimed second place with a time of 2:05.28 and
Cody Conte came in third after swimming to a time of 2:07.89.

Krom was Ithaca's top finisher in the 100 backstroke, taking second in 1:01.74. Hoffman-Smith was right behind her in third with a time of 1:01.88. Alfred's Lauren Serotta claimed victory with a time of 1:01.37.

The Bombers were once again victorious in the 100 breaststroke as Warren finished first with a time of 1:13.35.
Karolina Baranowski also took third in 1:15.16.

Ithaca swept the top three spots in the 200 butterfly, led by Scott who took first in 2:20.40. Sophomore
Olivia Schlackman was right behind her in second with a time of 2:20.65 while
Tori Eastham took third in 2:26.92.

The Bombers also took the top three spots in the 50 freestyle. Vandersleen was victorious with a time of 25.72 while Landers came in second with a time of 26.58.
Olivia Rubino rounded out the entries for IC in third with a time of 26.80.

Krom, a first-year, won the field in the 100 freestyle, swimming to a time of 56.49. Holman took second with a time of 58.07 while Young took third in 1:00.26.

Alfred's Serotta was victorious again, this time in the 200 backstroke, racing to a time of 2:16.16. Landers was the top finisher for IC with a time of 2:17.56 while
Olivia Rubino claimed third in 2:20.73.

The Saxon's also took first in the 200 breaststroke as Amanda Guariglia won the field in 2:41.93.
Josie Michaels was the top finisher for the Bombers in second place with a time of 2:46.68.
Hoffman-Smith claimed an individual win the 500 freestyle, winning by nearly 20 seconds with a time of 5:17.72. First-year
Emily Shorb came in second with a time of 5:37.10.

Ford won her second race of the day in the 100 butterfly, taking the top spot in 1:03.05.
Alex Estanislau finished in third place with a time of 1:04.09.

In the 400 IM, it was Schlackman who was victorious for the Bombers, winning in 4:57.86. Scott finished second with a time of 4:58.14.

Ithaca rounded out the day with a first and second place finish in the 200 freestyle relay.

The team of Vandersleen, Landers, Hoffman-Smith and Krom won the field in 1:43.09. The team of
Olivia Rubino, Holman, Baranowski and
Anna Rubino claimed second with a time of 1:47.82.

First-year
Rachel Lange won the field on the 1-meter board, racking up 251.25 points for first place. Fellow first-year
Karalyn Pawcio took second with a score of 243.95 while Abby Marraccino claimed third with 225.50 points.
Malia Farrar rounded out IC divers in fourth with a score of 189.45.

It was Pawcio who claimed victory on the 3-meter board with a total score of 249.25. Lange took second place with 241.95 points while Marraccino notched third with 227.45 points. Farrar finished in fourth with a score of 182.75.

Ithaca's divers are back in action tomorrow with the Dick Comanzo Diving Invitational. The meet, held in IC's Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium, will begin at 10 a.m. The whole team will be back in action next Saturday, February 1 against Union at 2 p.m.
