TROY, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's swimming and diving team opened up the 2020 portion of its schedule on Saturday afternoon at the Henry Kumpf Invitational at RPI.

The Bombers tallied 602 points to win the invitational. IC went head-to-head with four teams – RPI, Cortland, William Smith and Skidmore. Ithaca picked up wins against all four teams, topping host-team RPI 135.00-108.00, Cortland 145.00-98.00, William Smith 186.00-48.00 and Skidmore 187.00-56.00.

Swimming

The day started with a third-place finish in the 400 medley relay, behind RPI and Cortland. The team of
Julia Young,
Ashley Warren, Emily Vandersleen and
Paige Landers swam to a time of 4:16.36 to claim the top spot.

The team of
Olivia Rubino,
Jenna Molnar,
Alex Estanislau and
Tori Eastham also finished among the top six, taking sixth place overall with a time of 4:21.35. RPI's team won the field in 4:09.53.

In the 1,000 freestyle, three Ithaca swimmers finished among the top ten, led by first-year
Emily Shorb with a fifth-place finish in 11:25.58.
Olivia Schlackman was right behind her in sixth place with a time of 11:25.67 and
Cody Conte took eighth in 11:45.16. RPI's Ola Nawrocki won with a time of 11:07.45.

Junior
Morgan Hoffman-Smith claimed the top spot in the 200 freestyle, swimming to a time of 1:59.48.
Karolina Baranowski finished in fourth with a time of 2:03.84.

The Bombers took first and second in the 50 freestyle, as Vandersleen won with a time of 25.39.
Jane Pfeufer was right behind in second swimming to a time of 25.49.
Anna Rubino claimed seventh place with a time of 26.79.

Molnar was the top IC finisher in the 200 IM, claiming sixth in 2:21.15.
Kaitlyn Scott was close behind in seventh with a time of 2:21.55 and Warren finished in ninth with a time of 2:24.69. Skidmore's Rachel Olson won the field in 2:16.47.

In the 200 butterfly, Schlackman finished in second place with a time of 2:20.59, behind Cortland's Erica Koumas who won in 2:18.03. Estanislau and Eastham also finished among the top six, as Estanilau took fourth in 2:23.37 and Eastham finished fifth in 2:23.58.

Pfeufer claimed another second-place finish in the 100 freestyle, racing to a time of 55.87. Landers finished in third place with a time of 57.808 while
Anna Rubino took sixth in 57.75. RPI's Emily Mayoras won the field with a time of 55.69.

The Bombers' top finisher in the 200 backstroke was Young, who took fifth place in 2:19.33, while
Olivia Rubino finished in seventh with a time of 2:24.00. RPI's Megan Beaulieu won the race with a time of 2:14.40.

Hoffman-Smith won her second individual race of the day, taking first in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:18.56. Schlackman raced to a time of 5:37.89 to claim sixth place while Conte finished eighth in 5:45.01.

In the 200 breaststroke, Warren was the top Bombers' finisher with a fourth-place finish in 2:37.12. Molnar was also among the top six, racing to a time of 2:38.56 for sixth place.

The Bombers wrapped up the day with a first-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay. The team of Vandersleen, Hoffman-Smith, Landers and Pfeufer raced to a time of 3:44.78 to claim the top spot.

Olivia Rubino took fourth with a time of 3:56.85.

Diving

The Bombers had three divers finish among the top five on the 1-meter board, led by junior
Ava Lowell, who won the field with a score of 254.20. First-year
Eliana Wallock claimed fourth with 233.75 points and
Karalyn Pawcio took fifth with a score of 230.95.

Ithaca also have three divers among the top five on the 3-meter board. Pawcio was the top-finisher with a score of 260.19 wile Lowell was right behind in second with 259.80 points. Wallock rounded out the top five with a fifth-place finish of 242.85 points.

The Bombers are back in action next Saturday, January 25 with a road meet at Alfred at 1 p.m. The divers then return home on Sunday for the annual Dick Comanzo Diving Invitational at 10 a.m.
