How They Got Here – Ithaca
The Bombers were one of 10 teams to snag an at-large bid to the 2019 NCAA Tournament when the selection committee unveiled the 40-team field shortly after 10:00 p.m. on Sunday night. Ithaca knew its tournament hopes were squarely on the bubble heading into the evening, as the team suffered a heartbreaking 12-11 defeat at the hands of nationally-ranked William Smith in the 2019 Liberty League Championship Game earlier that afternoon. In the end, Ithaca's strength-of-schedule and a key victory over SUNYAC Champion Brockport earlier in the season likely proved to be the difference, as the Bombers hopped over both SUNY Cortland and SUNY Geneseo to secure the lone at-large bid from the East Region.

How They Got Here – Meredith
The Avenging Angels clinched their sixth consecutive year of NCAA Tournament play with a convincing run through the USA South Conference to capture the league's automatic bid for a sixth straight season. Meredith earned the sealing victory in emphatic fashion, blasting Averett 26-1 in the USA South Championship Game back on April 27.

How They Got Here – Washington & Lee
The Generals have been ranked within the Top-5 of the Division III IWLCA rankings for the duration of the 2019 campaign. Washington & Lee secured the automatic bid from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) for a 10th consecutive season when it bested Randolph Macon 17-7 on its home field this past Sunday. The win capped an undefeated run through league play this season, while it was the 20th ODAC Championship in the program's history.

Sizzling Offenses
If you are a fan offense, Lexington, Virginia, is where you will want to be this weekend. The three teams that make up the regional site pod all rank within the Top-34 nationally in scoring offense this season. Meredith tops the group, checking in as the second-best offense in the country in terms of goals per game, averaging an astounding 19.67 per outing and totaling a Division III best 413 goals up to this point in the year. Washington & Lee also boasts a Top-10 attacking group, tickling the twine 326 times during the season and average just over 17 goals per game (17.16). The Bombers are certainly no stranger to high scoring games, as they climb the ranks to tie for 34th in the nation entering the weekend with 296 total goals and a per game average of 15.58 for the season.

Herr Set to Make History
Junior attacker Bailey Herr has made history this season with a prolific offensive campaign that ranks as the best ever witnessed in an Ithaca uniform in the program's 50-plus year history. She enters the weekend with the single-season program record, passing teammate Allie Panara with a three-goal performance in the Liberty League Championship Game this past Sunday. Her 92 points through 19 games played on the year surpassed the previous, which was set last year by senior teammate Allie Panara at 91 points. Herr could not enter the weekend any hotter, as she has racked up 23 points on 16 goals and seven assists over her past three outings.

Five All-Liberty League Honorees
The Bombers had five members of the team earn recognitions earlier this week when the Liberty League unveiled its All-Liberty League Teams on Tuesday morning. Junior attacker Bailey Herr, sophomore midfielder Jacqui Hallack and senior defender Reid Simoncini earned First Team praise to headline the group. Senior attacker Allie Panara and sophomore defender Molly Nodiff garnered selection on the Second Team. The five honorees were tied for second most in the Liberty League behind William Smith's six total recognitions.

12th All-Time Appearance
This weekend will mark the 12th time that Ithaca has been among the participants in the NCAA Tournament. IC has now made the tournament three times in the four seasons with head coach Karrie Moore at the helm of the program. Moore is responsible for two of Ithaca's three all-time wins in the tournament, earning an Opening Round win over Regis back in 2016, as well as an 11-10 overtime triumph at Wesleyan (Conn.) in 2017 that punched the program's first ever appearance in the Round of 16.
