RESULTS
SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Ithaca College men's and women's track & field teams traveled to Swarthmore College to compete in a final last chance meet on Monday afternoon before the teams gear up for the AARTFC Championships later this week at Cortland.
The Ithaca women's 4x100-meter relay team placed first overall in a time of 49.24 seconds, while the 4x400-meter relay took fifth at 4:04.46.
Three members of the women's team placed within the top eight in the 100-meter dash.
Lusmer Quintana was the runner-up in 12.45 seconds, while
Amanda Wetmore was close behind in third at 12.47 and
Meghan Burd placed eighth at 12.78.
Estelle Yedynak was another runner-up for the IC women as she cleared 1.53 meters in the high jump.
Logan Bruce claimed third in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.22 seconds, while
Britney Swarthout also took third in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:05.01.
Sydney Strelec measured out 10.60 meters in the triple jump to come in fourth, while
Katelyn Hutchison posted a time of 26.00 seconds in the 200-meter dash to place seventh overall.
On the men's side,
Kasim Cisse secured third in the high jump at 1.91 meters, while
Robert Greenwald was sixth at 1.76 meters.
John Blake was a fifth place runner in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:09.75, which broke the school record set in 2016 by Saywer Hitchcock (9:10.11).
The AARTFC Championships begin at 12 p.m. on May 15 at Cortland.
