ROCHESTER, N.Y.
– Graduate student Anna Belson and sophomore Jocelyn Pawcio qualified for the 2019 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday afternoon after placing in the top three at the NCAA Diving Regional hosted by RIT.

The NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships are set to take place at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina March 20-23.

After winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards at last weekend's Liberty League Championships, Belson followed that up with a win on the 3-meter board at the regional. She put together an 11-round score of 493.75 to edge the competition for first place. This will be Belson's fourth trip to the NCAA Championship.

Geneseo's Samantha Reichman took second place and Pawcio finished in third with a score of 478.50. This is the first time Pawcio has qualified for the NCAA Championship in her career on South Hill.

On the men's side, sophomore Justin Moczynski finished ninth overall with 427.80 points on the 1-meter on the first day of the regional. Westminster College's Connor May won the field with a score of 502.60.

The Ithaca divers will be back in action tomorrow to round out the regional as the women will compete on the 1-meter while the men will move to the 3-meter.
