LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The nationally ranked No. 28 Ithaca College men's cross country team posted a 26th place finish with 620 points at the NCAA Division III Championship at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park on Saturday. Ithaca made its first appearance as a team at the NCAA Championship since 2002 and the Bombers posted a 17th place finish that year.
Pomona-Pitzer won the team title with 164 points, while North Central finished second with 182 points.
Sophomore
Danny Jagoe paced Ithaca with a 79th place finish in scoring (99th overall) with a time of 25:27.1. Junior
Chris Singer came in 116th (150) in 25:48.3 and senior
Forest Stewart followed in 117th (151) just .5 seconds later.
Senior
John Blake posted a time of 26:01.2 to come in 146th (190) and junior
Alec Hofer rounded out the top five with a 162nd finish (211) in 26:11.0.
Senior
Jeff Montgomery and
Christopher Tinti also competed for IC and placed 253rd and 258th overall. Montgomery clocked in at 26:37.2 and Tinti crossed in 26:42.7.
