ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's swimming and diving team defeated Cortland, 161.00-139.00 on Saturday afternoon at Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium.

The Bombers opened the day with a third-place finish in the 400 medley relay. The team of
Anna Rubino,
Jenna Molnar,
Olivia Schlackman and
Margaret Fox swam to a time of 4:21.12. Cortland took the top two spots, winning with a time of 4:06.85.

In the 1,000 freestyle,
Josephine Holman was the top finisher for the Bombers, coming in second with a time of 11:15.85, behind Cortland's Leah Bernhardt who won in 11:10.54.
Emily Shorb took third for IC with a time of 11:18.74 while
Alison Branch came in fourth in 11:29.71.

Ithaca swept the top three spots in the 200 freestyle, behind a first-place finish from junior
Morgan Hoffman-Smith, who won in 2:00.47.
Jesse Ford took second place in 2:03.49 while Holman was the third-place finisher with a time of 2:04.44.

First-year
Jane Pfeufer won the 100 backstroke, claiming victory with a time of 1:00.64.
Paige Landers finished in second with a time of 1:03.69 while
Olivia Rubino rounded out the top five with a time of 1:06.38.

IC's top finisher in the 100 breaststroke was Molnar, who took second place with a time of 1:13.89.

The Bombers also took second in the 200 butterfly, as
Kaitlyn Scott swam to a time of 2:20.19. She finished just behind Cortland's Erica Koumas who won the event in 2:19.36. Schlackman finished in fourth with a time of 2:21.72 while
Tori Eastham came in fifth in 2:26.03.

Pfeufer notched her second win of the day, coming in first in the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.88. Landers finished in third after swimming to a time of 25.57 while Fox rounded out the top five with a time of 26.58.

First-year Emily Vandersleen was the top IC finisher in the 100 freestyle, taking second with a time of 55.56. Landers finished third after swimming to a time of 56.03 while
Olivia Rubino took fifth in 58.14.

Pfeufer made it a three-peat in the 200 backstroke, winning the event in 2:11.80. Hoffman-Smith came in second, swimming to a time of 2:14.92 while Shorb took fourth in 2:24.78.

Molnar was once again the top finisher for IC, this time in the 200 breaststroke. She finished second with a time of 2:35.07 while
Josie Michaels raced to a time of 2:45.43 for fourth place.

Hoffman-Smith claimed victory in her second race of the day, winning the 500 freestyle by nearly 10 seconds with a time of 5:20.64. Holman took second in 5:30.04 while Branch finished fifth with a time of 5:34.91.

Vandersleen took second in the 100 butterfly, racing to a time of 1:01.22 while Ford claimed third in 1:02.49. Scott rounded out the top five with a time of 1:04.51.

In the 200 IM, Molnar was the top IC finisher, taking second place in 2:18.75. Scott took third in 2:25.12 while Schlackman claimed fourth with a time of 2:25.57. Michaels rounded out the top five, finishing fifth in 2:26.12. Cortland's Marissa Kordal won just edged Molnar for first, racing to a time of 2:17.76.

The Bombers finished the swimming portion of the day with a win in the 200 freestyle relay. The team of Pfeufer, Fox, Landers and Vandersleen raced to a time of 1:40.46, edging Cortland's second place team that finished in 1:42.55.

In diving action, first-year
Eliana Wallock claimed the top spot in the 1-meter, finishing with 256.80 points.
Ava Lowell took third with a score of 238.20 while
Karalyn Pawcio finished fourth with 228.75 points.

Wallock went on to finished second in the 3-meter with a score of 259.40. Cortland's Taylor Williams took first with 267.50 points. Pawcio was the third-place finisher with a score of 247.00 while Lowell finished fourth with 241.65 points.

The Bombers are back in action next weekend against Le Moyne. The divers will open the action on Friday night at home against the Dolphins at 6 p.m. The swimming portion of the meet will take place at Le Moyne on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
