ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's swimming and diving team dominated Alfred University on Saturday afternoon, winning the meet 244-55.

The Bombers had depth against the Saxons and won all-but-one event against them.

Ithaca set the tone right away, taking the top four places in the opening event, the 200 medley relay. The team of
Morgan Hoffman-Smith,
Ashley Warren,
Jaclyn Pecze and
Genny Tripler led the IC charge, finishing in first with a time of 1:53.43.

Paige Landers,
Karolina Baranowski,
Alex Estanislau and
Caroline Bissaillon finished in second place with a time of 1:58.05.

Hoffman-Smith picked up the first individual win of the day, swimming to a time of 10:49.98 in the 1,000 freestyle to take first.
Olivia Schlackman took second with a time of 11:15.95 and
Katie Conte came in third in 11:40.91.

The Bombers followed that up in the 200 freestyle, sweeping the top five places. Freshman
Jesse Ford led the way with a first-place time of 2:01.41 while
Angelina Domena took second in 2:05.51.

Alfred's Lauren Serotta took first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:03.44, while Estanislau finished in second place in 1:05.13.
Rachel Smertz came in third place after swimming to a time of 1:06.34.

The Bombers took home the top three spots in the 100 breaststroke, with Warren taking first in 1:11.88.
Hannah Parbst was not far behind, coming in second with a time of 1:12.12, while Bissaillon finished third in 1:14.04.

Kaitlyn Scott and Schlackman tied for first place in the 200 butterfly, as they both finished in 2:21.48.
Casey Koenig finished in third place with a time of 2:26.53 while
Ginny Fimmano took fourth in 2:35.61.

Tripler picked up an individual win in the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.90 to lead a group of four IC swimmers that swept the top four spots.
Emilee Murray came in second with a time of 26.50 while Baranowski took third in 26.65 and
Maggie Flynn rounded things out in fourth with a time of 26.71.

Smertz notched a win in the 100 freestyle, swimming to a time of 57.40. Not far behind in second place was
Maria Caminiti who finished in 57.59. Bissaillon rounded out the top three with a time of 57.62, while
Kelcie McNamara and Domena tied for fourth place after swimming to a time of 58.76.

Hoffman-Smith picked up her second win of the day in the 200 backstroke, swimming to a time of 2:11.05 to win by more than eight seconds. Landers came in third place with a time of 2:21.04.

In the 200 breaststroke, Ithaca swept the top three spots, led by
Gabrielle Humphrey in first place with a time of 2:36.29. Koenig came in second with a time of 2:39.72 while Baranowski finished third in 2:39.90

Schlackman then recorded a first-place finish in the 500 freestyle, swimming to a time of 5:31.65.
Maura Beuttel came in second place with a time of 5:36.71 while Conte took third in 5:36.90.

The Bombers earned the top five finishes in the 100 butterfly, led by Pecze in first place. She was the lone swimming to crack one minute, finishing in 59.83. Ford came in second with a time of 1:01.54 while Estanislau took third in 1:02.51.

In the final individual event of the day, Warren led the field with a time of 5:02.42. Humphrey was not far behind, taking second with a time of 5:04.71 while Parbst took third in 5:08.05.

The Bombers wrapped up the day with the top two finishes in the 200 freestyle relay.

The team of Ford, Bissaillon, Domena and Murray came in first place with a time of 1:45.05 while Parbst,
Jocelyn Pawcio, Smertz and Fimmano took second in 1:50.59.

Diving
Â
Anna Belson finished first in both the one and three meter dives as Ithaca had a great day on the boards.
Â
The Bombers swept the top five spots on the one-meter, led by Belson's score of 272.10. Pawcio came in second place with 250.35 points while
Ava Lowell took third with a score of 214.60.
Malia Farrar finished fourth with a score of 194.15 and
Amanda Giarratano rounded things out in fifth with a score of 171.50.

Belson once again led the field on the three-meter, taking first with a score of 287.75. Pawcio came in second with a score of 238.45 while Lowell finished third with 215.70 points. Farrar came in fourth with a score of 204.85 while Giarratano took six with 156.75 points.

The Ithaca divers are back in action tomorrow at the Dick Comanzo Diving Invitational, which is slated to start at 10 a.m. The full team will round out the dual-meet schedule next Saturday, February 2 at Union.
