Box Score GENEVA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's lacrosse team staged a late second-half comeback and won 12-9 at William Smith on Wednesday evening. Ithaca trailed 9-8 with four minutes remaining in the game, but scored four times in the last 3:09 to earn the victory. Ithaca is 5-6 on the season and William Smith is 4-7.

Ithaca led 3-2 six minutes into the game, but William Smith tied it quickly thereafter and then took a lead that it maintained until Ithaca's comeback effort over the latter portion of the second half. The rally started with a goal by
Riley Marion with 14 minutes left and Ithaca trailed 9-8. That score remained until the very late stages of the second half. Ithaca tied the score 9-9 with a goal by
Niki Standera with 3:09 left.

Ally Runyon gave Ithaca a 10-9 advantage on a goal with 2:28 to play. With Ithaca holding a one-goal lead, a William Smith shot hit the post.
Natalie Lang added two insurance goals for Ithaca in the last minute to account for the final score.

Runyon and Lang scored three goals each for Ithaca. Standera and
Riley Marion each had two goals.
Morgan Cadwell and
Delaney Gilson scored once. Three of Ithaca's goals were assisted, as assists went to Runyon, Gilson and
Taylor Brady.

Kimberly Presuto started in goal for Ithaca and allowed eight goals with one save over approximately 31 minutes of action.
Kelsey Fee went in to the goal and allowed one goal and had two saves in the final 29 minutes. Fee earned her first victory as a college goalkeeper.

Ithaca forced eight William Smith turnovers, and Marion led the way in that category with three caused turnovers. Marion also had three ground balls, and five other players had two ground balls each. Marion had seven draw controls to help Ithaca in the possession game.

Ithaca returns to conference action this weekend. Ithaca hosts Nazareth at 1 p.m. Saturday and hosts Alfred at 1 p.m. Sunday. Both games will be held at Higgins Stadium.
