Ithaca Drops Regular Season Finale

Freshman Sheila Rhoades won the individual 50- and 100- yard freestyle as well as the 400-yard team relay
Ithaca, N.Y. – The Bombers lost to Union College 134-109 on Saturday. It was squad's final home meet of the season.
 
Freshman Sheila Rhoades (Dryden/Dryden) had a strong meet, finishing in first in the 50- and 100- yard freestyle, with times of 24.89 and 54.03 respectively. Rhoades also took first in the 400-yard relay with freshman Joanna Ferreri (Niskayuna/Niskayuna), senior Kara Senecal (Drury/North Adams, Mass.) and freshman Maddie Kennedy (Head Royce/Alameda, Calif.).
 
Junior Lauren Botterbusch (Dallastown/York, Pa.) captured the win in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:30.47.
 
Sophomore Naomi Mark (Dansville/Dansville) took first and second place in the 3-meter and 1-meter dives, respectively, with scores of 219.80 and 219.15.
 
With this meet, the Bombers have concluded their regular season.
 
Next up for Ithaca are the Empire 8/NYSWCAA Championships at Nottingham High School, on Wednesday February 20.
