#5 Softball Falls to Wartburg

Erica Cutspec went two-for-three with two RBI's

Kissimmee, Fla. -- The fifth-ranked softball fell to Wartburg 8-5 for its first loss of the season.  

The Knights jumped out to a 3-0 lead by the top of the fourth inning, but the Bombers used a three-run fourth to tie the game. Wartburg scored two more in the fifth inning and three in the seventh for the win.

Sophomore Erica Cutspec (Fort Plain/Fort Plain) went two-for-three with two RBI's. Sophomore pitcher Carly Myers (Claremont Secondary/Victoria, British Columbia, Canada) allowed five runs on five hits in five innings for her first loss of the season.

The Bombers continue play at the Rebel Games on Tuesday. They face Muskingum at 8:50 a.m. and Muhlenberg at 10:40 a.m.
