Volleyball Falls in Five Games to Brockport

Corinna Doctor is eighth on Ithaca's single-season assists list.
Saratoga Springs, N.Y. – The third-seeded volleyball team lost to second-seeded Brockport 3-2 (18-30, 17-30, 30-21, 30-25, 10-15) in the semifinals of the NYSWCAA Championship Tournament. The loss drops the Bombers to 24-12, while the Golden Eagles improved to 27-7. Freshman setter Corinna Doctor (Skaneateles/Skaneateles) registered 45 assists to move into eighth on Ithaca’s single-season list with 1,304 on the year.
 
Junior outside hitter Amanda Hubbard (Horseheads/Horseheads) registered 15 kills to move up to 10th on the Bombers’ single-season kills list with 513, passing Jessica Raymond’s total of 498 kills in 2002. She also notched six digs, including her 1,000th dig at Ithaca. Junior middle hitter Katie Hause (St. Mary’s/Colorado Springs, Colo.) and junior outside hitter Andria Mynders (Minisink Valley/Port Jervis) added 16 kills and 10 kills, respectively.
 
Ithaca will next play fourth-seeded Cortland in the third-place match Sunday at 3 p.m.
