Mar. 5-6 at ECAC Championships

The Bombers won their sixth New York State Collegiate Track Conference (NYSCTC) indoor championship in the past seven years, topping Geneseo by five points. That streak includes titles for four head coaches, including first-year coach Jenne Potter, who won her first state championship as Ithaca's coach and was named NYSCTC Coach of the Year. Senior Amanda Laytham (Unatego/Otego) won the 1,500-meter run in an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 4:40.21 and won the 1,000-meter run (2:59.43). The distance medley relay team of senior Kristen Cravotta (Vernon Township/Sussex, N.J.), sophomore Irena McQuarrie (Skaneateles/Skaneateles), junior Emily Maston (Massena Central/Massena) and Laytham won in an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 11:59.16. Maston won the 800-meter run in an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 2:17.00 and placed second in the 500-meter dash (78.30). Sophomore Meghan Morningstar (Towanda Area/Towanda, Pa.) won the high jump (1.67 meters). Junior Bridgette Pilling (Wahconah Regional/Dalton, Mass,) placed second in the 3,000-meter run (10:22.42) and finished third in the 1,500-meter run (her time of 17:55.32 was .32 seconds away from the NCAA provisional standard). Senior Genevieve Billia (Villa Walsh Academy/Morristown, N.J.) took second in the weight throw (15.17 meters). Sophomore Kelly Sisti (Horseheads/Horseheads) placed third in the triple jump (10.63 meters), third in the 55-meter hurdles (8.77) and seventh in the long jump (4.96 meters). Cravotta placed fourth in the 500-meter dash (79.29) and sixth in the 1,000-meter run (3:06.13). Junior Kim Henn (Ridge/Basking Ridge, N.J.) placed fourth in the 200-meter dash (26.82) and sixth in the 55-meter dash (7.59). Freshman Samantha Margulies (Lakewood/Lakewood, Ohio) placed sixth in the 55-meter hurdles (9.01). Freshman Kim Gillman (New Paltz Central/Gardiner) placed seventh in the 400-meter dash (62.19). Sophomore Anastasia Kasianchuk (Kennett/North Conway, N.H.) placed seventh in the 5,000-meter run (18:13.76). and seventh in the 3,000-meter run (10:42.53). McQuarrie placed seventh in the 800-meter run (2:24.40). Senior Alyson Holbrook (Hopkinton/Hopkinton, Mass.) placed seventh in the triple jump (10.09 meters). Freshman Keri Raymond (Vergennes Union/Vergennes, Vt.) placed eighth in the triple jump (10.08 meters). Junior Kara Krebs (Herricks/Williston Park) placed eighth in the 800-meter run (2:26.27). The 3,200-meter relay team of Krebs, junior Alyssa Tingle (Cambridge Rindge & Latin/Cambridge, Mass.), McQuarrie and Laytham placed second in 9:44.94. The 1,600-meter relay team of Gillman, sophomore Camille Guyot-Bender (Clinton/Clinton), Cravotta and Maston placed fourth in 4:09.39. The 800-meter relay team of sophomore Lisa Erhartic (Wellesley/Wellesley, Mass.), Raymond, junior Carrie Williams (Ithaca/Ithaca) and Henn placed seventh in 1:52.11.
