Steele collected 41 points, eight blocks and a tournament-record 37 rebounds as Ithaca won the Empire 8 Championship tournament and an automatic bid to the NCAA playoffs. She recorded the program's first 20-point/20-rebound game in 25 years against Utica in the semifinals and added 20 points, 16 rebounds and career-best totals of three steals and five blocks in the title game win. Steele shot 17-33 from the floor and helped Ithaca harass Utica’s leading scorer into missing 14 of her 18 shots Friday. She was named Empire 8 and ECAC Upstate NY Player of the Week.
