Pitman broke her own DIII national record in the pole vault at the Empire 8 Championship this past weekend, earning the title of Field Athlete of the Meet. The senior cleared a mark of 4.25 meters, besting her mark of 4.22m at last week's meet. Her performance helped Ithaca claim its 10th straight Empire 8 Championship.
