ITHACA, N.Y. – Allie Colleran (Concord Carlisle/Concord, Mass.) of the Ithaca College softball team has been selected as the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for action that took place during the week that ended April 10, 2016.
Colleran went 4-for-8 as the Bombers extended their winning streak to six games on Sunday with a sweep of Utica College at Doris Kostrinsky Field. With the wins, the Bombers remained undefeated in the Empire 8 Conference standings and in regional competition.
In the opening game of the twin-billing, Colleran went 1-for-4 before collecting three hits in four at-bats in the night cap with a pair of homeruns and a double.
Overall, the Concord, Mass. native combined to produce three RBI and four runs scored in the sweep. For the season, Colleran is batting .306 with 19 hits, 16 runs and 10 RBI.
Softball returns to the diamond at 3 p.m. on Tuesday when it faces Oneonta in a non-conference doubleheader at Kostrinsky Field.
