Senior Scott Sidnam (Camilius, N.Y./West Genesee) combined for 31 saves as the Ithaca College men's lacrosse team knocked off rivals Cortland and Stevens to extend its winning streak to seven. For his efforts, Sidnam was honored as Ithaca's Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 3, 2016.Â

Sidnam, a two-time Empire 8 Goalie of the Year, made a career-high 20 saves to consistently turn away the Red Dragons during Wednesday night's 18-12 home win as Ithaca earned its first win over Cortland since an 11-8 decision March 21, 2009.
Sidnam made five saves in the first quarter, three in the second, seven in the third, and five in the fourth to clinch the win for Ithaca.
Hosting No. 16 Stevens on Saturday, Sidnam made 11 saves as the Bombers (9-1, 2-0 Empire 8) earned a 17-7 win.
Sidnam is currently 9-1 on the year with a .531 goals-against average and a .664 saves percentage. He has helped Ithaca boast the stingiest defense in the country, allowing only 5.40 goals per game.
As of Thursday, Sidnam led the country in goals-against average and was second in saves percentage.Â
The Bombers will honor Sidnam and three other seniors during Saturday's 12 p.m. Senior Day clash against No. 11 Nazareth.Â
