Junior Katherine Pitman broke an ECAC Championship record and led the Ithaca College women's track & field team to its fourth ECAC title this past weekend on Staten Island.

Pitman set the best pole vault mark in the nation this season with a mark of 4.15 meters. This topped her previous career-high by 0.8 meters, which she set last week at the Empire 8 Championships. She is only 0.2 meters away from breaking the all-time Division III mark, which was set at the 2011 Division III Championship meet.

Pitman will head to Grinnell, Iowa to compete at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships on March 11-12.
