Matthias earned Male Field Athlete of the Week for his facility record and career-best long jump performance and finished third overall in the 200-meter dash at the Pioneer Invitational in Utica, N.Y. over the weekend. His leap of 6.93 meters won the event, while the time of 22.47 seconds in the 200 was just under four-tenths of a second behind the first-place competitor. Matthias will compete at the NYSCTC Championships, hosted at Ithaca's Athletics and Events Center this weekend.
